Love

There have been many songs with this message. The Beatles said it with, “All you need is Love.” It seems to me these are the basic tenets of most religions and philosophies, even though it seems they are not always practiced. I believe with every fiber of my being that if we were all kind to each other, a little more patient with each other, a little more caring, this could truly be the paradise we all desire. I’ve been called a “Hippie” for writing this sort of song, but if labels must be applied, I prefer “Human.” The words first came as the second verse and the chorus. I started composing music, and then the first verse revealed itself. Someone told me it was a good hippie anthem. I’ll take that. I don’t see anything wrong with bringing peace and happiness to the world! Love is the answer.
