Visiting friends

Posted on February 12, 2022January 31, 2023

January 30, 2022

I went to see a girl

She invites me up into her room

The door is on the ceiling

She climbs up the wall to her room on her hands and knees like the wall is the floor

I have to climb using rungs she has mounted on the wall for guests

Now I’m at a small outdoor gathering

Sitting and watching some sort of performance with a few other people

There are three girls, one of which had just finished her part in the show sitting with me.

I offer each a slice of some fruit.

A male friend and I are shopping for something to give his father for his birthday. He buys a “shower shield “. We go to his house and drop it off and then go to the girl’s house. She invites us up and she walks up the wall. The friend is shocked and said, “that’s strange!” I said, “Yeah, she can do that.”

I start to climb on the rungs she installed for other people, but as I get to the third rung it begins to come loose bringing the counter sink with it.

My friend steadies me as I climb down. I get a hammer and try to knock it back in.

We go back to his dad’s house. You can hear his father in the shower. My friend enters money recharge codes into his phone. Dad comes out, “Wow! That shower shield was great! I’ll never take a shower without one again!”

Son goes in to take a shower, gives me the phone, I’m to meet up later. So I take the phone.

At a small office with a glass front. It feels very familiar. I’ve been here before and actually belong here. I think it must be my office.

There is a band on TV. They play a nice song, well constructed, basic, and the audience applauds . Then the singer says, “Yeah, it was good, but, for a song to be great you have to give it real emotion.” Then they play the same song slower, with more feeling and different sections added creating tension and emotion. It was good!

I walk outside and see tiny little birds (?) foraging. I thought kiwis were larger than that. Across the street I see several larger, scruffy, yellow birds with thick glasses that look like eye protection goggles hopping up the street. I look back at the kiwis and think, I must be in New Zealand.

I go back to the office, the door is locked but the keys are in it. I open the door and see the secretary. I tell her I’m just going to leave this box here on the bed by the door. I grab my guitar and go.

Someone else is going to town too. They are loaded down with a couple of backpacks and a big soft guitar case. I offer to help.

When I arrive I go into an office. We talk a while and they say, “Hey! How about you play us a song!”

“Sure, This one was kind of a hit for us.” I pull the guitar out and start to tune it up.

“Wow! That looks like a really cheap guitar!”

“Yep, about $42, we bought it in Mexico. You won’t find another one that sounds like this!” I start to play “the Sun Will Shine”

I wake up
